About Christopher Schmidt

Executive responsibility.
Architectural depth.

I build, own, modernize, and scale enterprise technology capabilities. Data and AI are part of that responsibility, not a separate conversation from how the business operates.

My work spans enterprise adoption, engineering leadership, production SaaS ownership, and the foundations that make AI useful in practice.

At Microsoft, I led United States and Canadian adoption of Real-Time Intelligence and built and operated an enterprise supplier-risk capability. At Precision eControl, I led modernization of a production SaaS platform, connecting architecture to operating economics and pipeline performance.

I currently lead Solutions Engineering and Enterprise AI at iLink Digital, including a team of approximately ten professionals. Across my work, I have influenced approximately $6 million in annual program investment. Influence is not presented as budget ownership.

How I approach the work

I define the business decision, use, and operating requirements before expanding platform scope. Governance, auditability, observability, and ownership belong in the initial design because they determine whether a capability can be trusted in operation.

Why I developed DARF

The Data and AI Readiness Framework makes the distinction between trusted answers and governed action explicit. Its practical value is in connecting evidence to a bounded human decision.
